Lake Mary, FL – April 30, 2012 – Progressive Communications International announces its purchase of Fidelity Press, an Orlando custom printing company, on April 11, 2012. Founded in 1979, Fidelity Press built a reputation for high-quality print and exceptional customer service, providing prepress, digital, commercial printing and bindery services in its 36,000 square-foot facility.

Fidelity Press’ outstanding work earned a strong client base. Its shared values with Progressive – such as a commitment to excellence and environmental sustainability – provided ideal compatibility for the acquisition.

Progressive will incorporate key pieces of equipment into its 84,000-square-foot production facility in Lake Mary, Fla., to expand current services. No production will be run from the former Fidelity Press location. Progressive hired core Fidelity Press employees for a variety of positions.

“Fidelity Press has a culture of total dedication to quality that complements our own,” said Gabe Hernandez, President of Progressive. “It brings a unique client base that we look forward to working with and developing through Progressive’s product bundles. We welcome Fidelity Press employees to the Progressive Communications team, and are excited to work together in becoming an even more dynamic organization.”

“Being a member of the Taylor family gives us the additional deep resources to present new options to these accounts and take them to the next level,” said Troy Barnes, Progressive’s Vice President of Sales.

Progressive Communications Holds Holiday Food Drive for FIT

Posted by admin on December 27, 2011  |   No Comments »

Lake Mary, FL – December 23, 2011 – Progressive Communications International (PCI) held a company holiday food drive to benefit the Families in Transition (FIT) Program for Seminole County Schools. The program was featured on a recent 60 Minutes episode documenting the plight of homeless schoolchildren in Central Florida. Employees brought donations of non-perishable food and cash over a two-week period to be presented to FIT coordinator Beth Davalos, who appeared in the 60 Minutes episode with some of the families in her program.

Davalos was presented with a check for $800 and several large collection boxes of food during PCI’s annual Holiday Luncheon on December 21. Speaking to the company after a video clip of the 60 Minutes episode was played, Davalos gave an update on the children and parents who touched the hearts of viewers, and inspired PCI to choose FIT as a way of giving back to the community during this holiday season. But although a few opportunities had come about as a result of the episode, she noted that the families profiled still face an uncertain future – as do the many other local families in similar circumstances.

“The homeless are hiding in plain sight,” said Davalos. “The children go to school every day, like all the other students. But no one sees where they go after.”

FIT has served more than 8,500 homeless students since 2003, and has helped 1,200 Seminole County students during this school year.

“The 60 Minutes episode gave us the opportunity to learn about the great work this organization does in our own community,” said Gabe Hernandez, PCI General Manager. “This is all about helping our neighbors who are struggling in this tough economy, and doing what we can to support FIT in its efforts to get these families back on their feet.”
